Cyberpunk 2077 Iguana Egg Guide: Hatching the Apartment Pet in 2026
Cyberpunk 2077 iguana egg guide: sneak into Konpeki Plaza with Reinforced Tendons and hatch your pet in 90 in-game days.
Cyberpunk 2077 has no shortage of strange collectibles, but the iguana egg is one of the few that turns an apartment into a tiny zoo. In 2026, the trick still works: players can sneak back into Konpeki Plaza, swipe an egg from Yorinobu’s penthouse, and eventually share their Night City home with a fully grown iguana. The catch? The route is a platforming gauntlet, and the egg takes 90 in-game days to hatch. Here is the short version: bring Reinforced Tendons, set time to midnight, follow the walls, and do not expect a quick payoff.

Getting Back Into Konpeki Plaza
Players normally visit Yorinobu’s Penthouse during The Heist. If that mission is already finished and the building refuses to let them back in, panic is not required. The alternate route is still available, though it demands Reinforced Tendons for the jumps. The player should start at Konpeki Plaza, face the front of the building, turn left, and follow the wall into a tunnel that slopes downward.

The path continues along the road, keeping close to the wall, until a right turn appears. A player should head straight through that tunnel and look for stairs leading down to tables, chairs, and trees. After running past those, the route goes down more stairs toward the water. Keeping the right wall in sight is important. The first corner brings a large pile of trash, which can be jumped on to reach higher ground. Long vertical marks on the wall and a ledge underneath them are the next clue. A jump and grab pulls the player up.

From that ledge, the player should move away from the corner, look back toward it, and then look right. Another ledge waits there. Jumping across, looking up, and jumping again gets the player onto the roof. A long silver pipe is the next landmark. At the point where it bends, the player can hop over the fence above it and return to Konpeki Plaza. A left turn and a run along the building lead to a large glass door. It opens when approached, assuming nothing is currently trying to kill the player.

Climbing to the Top Floor
Inside the building, the player should follow the right wall until an elevator appears after a receptionist’s desk. The elevator goes up. After exiting, the route continues straight while watching the left wall for an opening. Through that opening, the player keeps following the left wall, passes a reception desk, and finds another elevator. A right turn follows, then more left-wall hugging. The doors along the way should stay closed. After the second door, a right turn appears. The player heads past a plant and into the next room, keeps going straight to a window looking outside, turns left, and reaches a far room with an exit door on the left side.

After that exit, another left turn and a forward run lead to the first right turn. Straight down that path are stairs. The climb continues: up the stairs, right toward more stairs, and upward again. At the top, a left turn reveals a tree. Climbing the tree and jumping to the skylight ledge gets the player onto the roof.

Claiming the Egg
Timing matters here. The player should progress time until midnight, then look right and up. Several platforms lead upward toward the penthouse. From the left side, the first jump goes to the first platform. Vents on that side provide the next step, and from them the player jumps to the sloped glass platform. Running up the slope and jumping to the ledge completes the climb.

The egg is now within reach. After grabbing it, the player backtracks along the same path to the fence on the pipe, jumps down into the water, and swims back to the stairs near the start. It is a long way home, but the prize is worth the effort.
Hatching the Egg
Back at the apartment, the player goes straight through the front door and finds a bowl on the table. That bowl is the egg’s new home. Then comes the waiting game. The egg hatches after 90 days of in-game time have passed. A player can simply continue with the main story, side quests, and sandbox exploration, or manually progress time if patience is in short supply.

Once those 90 days are gone, a return to the apartment reveals a fully grown iguana near the bowl. The moment also triggers some dialogue from Johnny. For players who already share their space with Johnny and Nibbles, the iguana makes the apartment feel even more alive. It is a small reward for a very strange heist, and in 2026 it remains one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most charming hidden extras.
